Exams, Exams, and EXAMS!!

First of all, sorry for letting u all wait that long for the new post. Well, lots of shit had happened, lol. So, now i am trying to keep up with what I didn't write about from my break of the blog. It has been a hectic period of my life

from 2nd until 12th December.

After dealing with all of my assignments (total 5 of them), I had only one week until my final exams starts. And i still had the hangovers of those assignments (God Damn you both, Mr. D and Mr. C) (this is a code only students from SyUC SCT's department will know). Anyways, I had to deal with the arrangement of my thoughts and my notes and also getting additional books as a preparation for the exams.

My exams where 4 and they were for: Network Security, Database Systems, Object Oriented Programming and Object Oriented Analysis and Design. These exams were on: the 2nd, the 4th, the 5th, and the 12th of December. As for my 5th subject, Research Methodology, it was a total course work subject (phew). The following is going to be more in detail for these days.

The 2nd of December: Network Security (NetSec):

Well, the subject was divided into 2 parts: Practical and Theoretical, and I am a man who loves learning by experiencing and trying out things. So, the practicals were the ones I mastered and I scored in all the practical tests the full mark (even though I was way at the back of the class since I lack the knowledge of another subject: Network Technology). The theoretical stuff were not easy to absorb at all. There were 2 theoretical assessments as well: a research article and a 100-MCQ written test. The research article I screwed it so badly that i just passed it (again Network Technology) and the MCQs I scored 65+ out of it. So, if I manage to do this exam well, with the marks that I have collected I may score an A in this subject Inshallah. The exam went smothly and I am pleased about it.

The 4th of December: Database Systems (DBSys):

This subject I loved the most for 2 reasons: 1) the practicals and theory were very related to each other, unlike the other subjects, and 2) the lecturer was one of the most caring and most informative, Ms. Kwong. I believe for this subject I am going to score an astonishing grade because it was my favourite for this semester and to me it was "a piece of cake".

The 5th of December: Object Oriented Programming (OOP):

I am very fond of programming, and I considered it to be a very interesting as a hobby as well as a job, but in this semester I have seen HELL through the demands of the god damn Mr. D. He just keep on asking a demand after another without any slight hint for what exactly he wants to see. His course work was a DEADLY one which must be done within less than 2 months time. I have done it perfectly but after having long sleepless nights which are filled up with extreme migraines. That was for practicals. For theory, when I look at it, it was totally from another subject, Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) which a subject that Mr. D used to teach so he had made it tough for us. The exam was totally about the theory part. So, I think i will get either A or B just because of my practical course work.

The 12th of December: Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD):

The last paper was the terrifying OOAD paper. This subject was the worst for the semester. Neither the students understood the subject nor the lecturer himself, and all what we got out from his classes are his stories of going to Vietnam and Indonesia, his atchievements, and Genting programming contest. So, was really frustrated about the exam and the marks that is given to me for the course work were damn low although I worked hard for it. For this subject alone I borrowed FOUR FREAKING books, YES THEY WERE FOUR!! and the problem is even with those books I couldn't understand that much of the subject. The exam came in the most unexpected way. If there is a subject that I may fail in my life, it would be OOAD (for ur information I haven't get a mark less than B before joining my degree programe and I haven't failed a subject in my life, ... so far).
